„I like using drawings to tell stories, make jokes, annoy people and fight battles. I think that what I’m doing is reporting on a rather drawn-out civil war in my head between competing parts of a brain.“
Ever since I left college in the year 2000 I’ve been trying to avoid real work. Sometimes avoiding work is much harder than just doing it. Partly by luck and partly by being helped by a lot of good people I’ve managed to live by the pen for ten years without having to claim benefits or work in a normal job. Before I went to college I worked on an Ice Cream stand, as a washer-up in a restaurant, as a house-painter and as a baby-sitter.
